Why we love this drink?

There is plenty of enjoy and the wine is certainly recognisably Pauillac. The fruit character is friendly and accessible, mostly showing blackcurrant and cherry. The palate is held by the tannins, forming a reassuring, solid block which will soften in the short term. This is the epitome of worthy dependability. Drink 2024-2035.
History
Château Lynch-Bages Echo, formerly known as Château Haut-Bages Averous, is the second wine from this iconic winery, with centuries of history, currently owned by Jean Michel Cazes. Located in the Bages area, at the gateway to Pauillac, Château Lynch-Bages sits on a unique, high-quality site on the banks of the estuary, on well-drained gravel soils with limestone beds. There lie 100 hectares of vineyards, aged between 30 and 60 years old, growing red varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot) and white varieties like Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle. In this area, located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde, the climate is mild, warm and humid, with many hours of sunshine per year. In general, this microclimate is extremely beneficial for the grapes, which are protected from spring frosts.
